Pediatric dentistry is an age-defined speciality that provides dental health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs. SMILE & PROFILE in all these years have experienced that dental care of infants, children and adolescents are highly neglected in this part of the country and the parents are less informed in developing a positive dental attitude in their kids in order to have a good oral health for the rest of their lives. It has been found that very few parents know that during pregnancy, mothers should have a proper and balanced diet in order to build the foundation of their baby’s teeth, as the formation of tooth-bud in a baby begins at the first trimester of pregnancy and matures at Germination. Even they doesn’t know that the children should have an initial dental check-up by one year of age or six months after the first primary tooth has emerged, whichever comes first.
